Nice to meet you! I’m Cameron McConnell, owner and general contractor for McConnell Made. I’ve been told a time or two that I can make things happen and by combining my passion for problem solving and love of building, that’s what I’ve been doing here at McConnell Made.

I got my start in building officially in 2021 with a production builder in Wilmington, NC building single family homes and townhomes. Prior to that, I interned for an entrepreneur who built house boats on the Cape Fear River. Both of these experiences influenced my ability to be creative and efficient. My days on a job site date back to my childhood. Even as a kid, I remember the details of the building process while building the homes we grew up in. From an early age, I knew my way around power tools and was challenged to think critically on how to solve complex problems. I have always loved how construction blends challenges and rewards. It’s fascinating to understand how things work and instantly fulfilling when a design can be optimized to enhance that functionality.

I began independent contracting initially as a side-hustle. I invested in my own properties to practice what clients needed. I took builder grade houses and added the character that clients needed to make it feel like home. From there, I learned that many custom jobs can benefit from a production-based schedule to optimize efficiency in both the time line and the cost. Intentionality doesn’t have to exceed time frames or budgets.

A successful job starts with a clear vision. McConnell Made’s vision is to make lasting impressions that withstand the test of time. Our mission is to deliver curated intentionality that blends function and design.
